The Story behind Happy Hooves Family Pharmacy
HAPPY HOOVES OFFICIALLY BEGAN IN 2023
This was the year our founder & head pharmacist, Nick, left the corporate world behind in search of something more.
Having graduated with honors from Illinois University's College of Pharmacy and over five years of experience in upper-level management at Fortune 100 companies, Nick's journey was taking your typical pharmaceutical path.
However, he kept feeling the pull towards a deeper calling—a calling rooted in compassion, integrity, and a fervent desire to make a difference. It all ultimately led him here to Kerrville and the opening of Happy Hooves Family Pharmacy.
Now, you're probably wondering, but why 'Happy Hooves' ?
It's a story we tell new customers two or three times a day, multiple times a week. And we love that it's a name that sticks with you.
Since agriculture and ranching are such a big part of Texas life (Nick married a native Texan), he and Anthony started out with a vision of opening a veterinary compounding pharmacy in town. And so, Happy Hooves Pharmacy opened its doors in 2023.
However, from the start, we noticed a serious gap in the community between affordability and equitable access to medications while still getting exceptional customer service. We had the pharmacy experience, passion, and dedication, so we thought, why don’t we fill it?
And so we did.
